KARACHI: The availability of new versions of Covid-19 to locals was officially confirmed on Friday with a warning that the vaccine may not work for them.
“A genomic study conducted by Aga Khan University has shown the presence of the UK with 10 samples and the South African and Brazilian varieties (Covid-19) were found with two samples, a message, while expressing concern about the situation.
Highlighting the nature of these species, he explained that the UK variation spread rapidly, with a high transfer rate of 60 per cent (compared to the old variance) and a mortality rate of 68pc while both the South African and Brazilian varieties had higher mortality rates.
This means that even if you are not vaccinated, you can still become infected and get very sick. The vaccine we are currently using does not provide protection against this variety. “
The minister urged people to avoid groups at home, to leave unnecessarily and to follow Covid-related steps outside the home. “Please don’t buy Eid right now. Do it later. We see a lot of people shopping around without masks on the market. This is shocking. ”
He warned that if people continued to show indifference, they could endanger their lives and the lives of their loved ones and the community.
“Thank God we are not passing it on now. However, the virus can spread and create a health problem like that in India. Maybe we’ll lock. Humanity wants us to care for one another. ”
It may be recalled that the previous two studies showed similar results and one of them concluded that the new models are facing the third wave of Covid-19 in the country.
